In the Same Name of the Emblem
Oct. 5th, 2022 12:45 pma few months back, some new characters were added to Fire Emblem Heroes. like Arthur!
no, not that one.
no, not that one either.
oh, come on, that one's not even a Fire Emblem character. ... legally speaking.
look, just forget about that. let's instead focus on some of the other characters who got added to Heroes at that juncture! such as... Hilda...
you know what? I'm starting to think we might have a problem, actually.
between this and a couple other things, I remember I'd been calling this The Name Fuckery Banner back when it first dropped, and the sheer hilarity of the situation gave me a kick to finally get a long-held idea for a post off my head. and lo, a staggering while later, it's all set to go: a look into numerous cases of Fire Emblem characters who ended up with the same names, or very similar ones -- and, whenever applicable, the story of how that ended up happenning.
